I am Fiona, and Alice in Fabricland is my childhood dream come true.
Named after my beautiful late mother, Alice, this shop is a tribute to her love of craft and colour. As a young girl, together we read Golden Books like “The Colour Kittens” and “I Can Fly,” where the illustrations seemed to dance on the pages, sparking my lifelong passion for colour.
Later, she patiently guided me from one knitted Barbie Doll scarf to the next, and while it took me a while, I eventually grasped the concept. Though I love knitting, sewing is my true passion. Our family-based online business is located in the gorgeous town of Woodend in the Macedon Ranges, just an hour from Melbourne.
